Training on manufacturing and testing technology of surge protectors for low voltage power distribution systems (Yueqing Station)

Today, professional training on manufacturing and testing technology of surge protectors (SPD) for low-voltage power distribution systems was successfully held in Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province. The training aims to enhance the professional skills of industry personnel in the manufacturing process, performance testing and quality control of surge protectors, and further promote the development of safety protection technology for low-voltage power distribution systems in my country. The training was jointly organized by relevant departments of Yueqing City and a number of professional institutions, and domestic well-known surge protector experts, scholars and industry elites with rich practical experience were invited to give lectures. The training content covers the basic principles, design selection, production process, performance testing methods, quality control standards and practical application case analysis of surge protectors.

 

During the training, experts introduced the relevant knowledge of surge protectors in a simple and easy-to-understand manner through theoretical explanations, on-site demonstrations, interactive exchanges and other forms. At the same time, practical activities such as visits to surge protector manufacturing companies and laboratories were organized to allow trainees to observe the production process and testing process of surge protectors up close, and deepen their understanding of theoretical knowledge. In order to improve the manufacturing level of surge protectors in China, standardize the market order, and change the current situation of mixed products and uneven product quality in the low-voltage distribution system surge protector market, this "Low-voltage Distribution System Surge Protector Manufacturing and Testing Technology Training" is specially held. This training is based on the two standards "GB/T 18802.11-2020 Low-voltage Surge Protector (SPD) Part 11: Surge Protector for Low-voltage Power System Performance Requirements and Test Methods" and "GB/T21431-2023 Technical Specifications for Testing Lightning Protection Devices for Buildings", strengthening the design, production, testing, selection, installation and other series of issues of surge protectors. Certificates will be issued after assessment.
